Intern Java Developer

Location: you can choose to work remotely (from Poland) or onsite (Warsaw, Poland)

As Intern Java Developer, you’ll be working on developing new features for our products and maintaining existing ones (and some bug fixing as well – there’s no way around it). Every day you’ll be learning from our experienced developers, designers, and product owners.

We’re looking for fourth or fifth-year computer science students (or recent graduates) who are ready to take on their first job and gain solid experience working on a large, commercial project.

We are looking for a person who:

  • Is positively obsessed with coding, and wants to learn about backend technologies and dev tools – especially the ones we work with at BigPicture
  • Has an academic background in computer science (fourth or fifth-year students)
  • Is familiar with Java, relational databases, and Spring framework
  • Is a team player with good communication skills, and is ready to quickly learn from others
  • Knows English on a B2 level (or higher), which allows for reading and writing documentation

Remuneration & model of cooperation

You can choose between:
  • 5 000 PLN gross / month Contract of services (umowa zlecenie)
  • 5 000 PLN PLN + VAT / month B2B contract (kontrakt B2B)

Recruitment process step-by-step

  1. Submit your application
  2. Meet with one of our Senior Backend Developers to learn a little bit more about our company, answer a few technical questions (~45 min. online)
  3. Meet with our Lead Backend Architect to answer a few technical questions, and discuss our mutual expectations (~20 min. online)

If everything goes well, we’ll call you with a job offer very quickly and welcome you to our team :)
